Meet the soloists

Lufuno Ndou

Mezzo-Soprano

Lufuno Ndou is a South African-born Mezzo-Soprano who studied at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Some of the roles she performed during this time include Zweite Knabe in the Conservatoire’s production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Mercedes in the Quintet from Bizet’s Carmen in the 2018 production of Opera Scenes. She also performed in Grange Park Opera’s Porgy and Bess (directed by Jean-Pierre van der Spuy) as part of the chorus. In 2022, she sang with Chineke! Orchestra at the BBC Proms, performing Beethoven’s 9th Symphony at the Royal Albert Hall. She has been on various recording projects, including the 2018 and 2022 Black Panther films. Most recently, she performed Dream of Geriontius with Gabrieli C&P, under the direction of Paul McCreesh.

Oscar Dom Victor Castellino

Baritone

Goan-Indian baritone, Oscar Castellino was born in Mumbai. He studied physics and computer science at University and went on to work in the software industry. It was then that his voice was discovered by soprano Patricia Rozario when she heard him sing 'Deep River' at a workshop she conducted in India. Oscar trained at the Royal College of Music and Royal Welsh College of Music. Teachers include Patricia Rozario, Donald Maxwell, Adrian Thompson and David Rendall. Oscar made his operatic debut at Welsh National Opera with the role of George Benton in Dead Man Walking. He also sings with the Royal Opera House extra chorus.

Lynda Olivia Nwabudike

Soprano

Lynda Olivia Nwabudike is a soprano currently mentored at Glyndebourne Opera and has recently graced the stage with Opera Holland Park's Chorus for their 2024 Season. Trained in classical music, she possesses a unique talent for blending traditional techniques with contemporary styles, making each performance a memorable experience. Lynda has been featured prominently in performances showcasing her skills in both solo and ensemble settings. Her career highlights include a variety of concerts across diverse venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, and the American Embassy, where she consistently delivers performances that deeply resonate with her audiences.
